Dahl Makhani
Urad dahl with coconut cream
Creamy, restaurant-style dahl — black gram lentils and kidney beans simmered with organic coconut cream, ginger and tomato.
Food for the Soul
Plant based · Vegan · Mildly spiced
Handcrafted frozen dahls and vegan soups, made in Cape Town — oil-free, slow-simmered, and free from preservatives, added sugar or dairy.
Our philosophy
True Nature began with a pot of dahl and fifteen years of cooking for friends and family. Founder Mark — a street photographer whose travels followed the aromas of Indian kitchens — built the company around a single conviction: time and attention are the most important ingredients.
Every recipe is 100% plant-based, prepared in a fully vegan kitchen, and made without cooking oil. No added sugar, no dairy, no preservatives, no artificial colourants or flavourants. Just legumes, vegetables, and carefully measured spice.
